In 2005 we purchased an apartment in Turkey, mainly as an investment but also because we loved the country and the people. We visit our apartment at least once a year, but as keen travellers, we also enjoy visiting other countries.

We soon realised that owning and maintaining a holiday home isn’t always cheap and it can lead to you questioning the logic of paying to go on holidays to other destinations when you already own somewhere which can be used for nothing. This is certainly a feeling that we have experienced.

Therefore we formed the Holiday Exchange Club website which has been designed to give people, like us, the opportunity to allow their property (this also includes boats and caravans) to work for them by providing an opportunity to visit other countries and experience different cultures. The basic concept is that one holiday home owner contacts another with a view to exchanging the use of their holiday property for an agreed period. 

In addition to the exchange board we have also incorporated a rental board as part of the website. This allows holiday home owners to advertise their accommodation for exchange and/or rent should they wish, giving our members an ideal mix of both worlds where they, on one hand can earn income from renting out their property, and on the other hand, use it to visit destinations worldwide.

Obviously the more properties which are available for exchange the better, so we are working hard to promote the site to as many holiday home owners as possible. The more properties we have on the site, the more exchanges our members will be able to arrange to a wider variety of destinations.
